Engagement Pictures

I know it has been a while since my last post.  I also don’t usually post things going on in my personal life. However, these past few months have been very exciting because I have gotten engaged to Phil, my boyfriend of 8 years.  In addition to working to finish up law school, sell my house, and try to stay involved with what’s going on in Dearborn (I’ve slacked on that one recently!), we have been having a great time planning the wedding.  Since we won’t get married until 2014, we have a lot of time to do the real work, so we have been enjoying the fun parts of being engaged.

Phil proposed at the gorgeous Henry Ford Estate in Dearborn, MI on a picnic on my birthday.  We decided we wanted to go back and get our engagement pictures done in that special place.  I’m not one to sit around once I’ve made a decision to do something, so I got in touch with the Henry Ford Estate to find out what we needed to do.  They have had the main building closed for some time for renovations so I wanted to know if they were planning on closing any of the grounds down and, if so, when so that we could schedule accordingly. It seemed to be pretty up in the air so we didn’t want to take any chances – we got our engagement pictures taken right away.

After some research online, I found Avida Productions and got in touch with Nabil there right away.  After we met and talked about the details, we were very excited to select Avida Productions as our photographer.  I presented a few ideas on the type of pictures we were looking for and Nabil was right on board the entire time. During the photo shoot, it was great working with Nabil, because he took my ideas, blended it with his and his style, and the outcome was fantastic.  We really enjoyed working with Avida Productions and love sharing our pictures with everyone. So, here are a few of my favorites!
